Senior back End Developer

Job scope
We are looking for a self-starter with at least 5 years’ experience in developing back end solutions for websites and web applications who has experience of leading a small team. You will be proficient writing and reviewing code in PHP and JavaScript, with appropriate HTML and CSS skills. A key skill you value is problem solving and developing the architecture for applications such as large scale user systems. You’ll be an advocate of agile processes and appreciate the value of good documentation.

Duties and responsibilities
Overall responsibility
The role is to lead our team of developers in building out new features for websites, both existing and new, as well as the management of the maintenance of current sites – including the application code as well as data structures, so a good level of SQL knowledge is essential. Experience of server admin is an advantage, as is the architecture of web applications such as cloud, Amazon etc…
