Research/Intel Analyst (Junior, Intermediate Level; Top Secret Clearance Required) - Best Value Technology Inc - Washington, DC

Job Description:

BVTI is looking for an intel analyst to participate in open-source intelligence collection in support of a federal client. The ideal candidate will have prior knowledge on one or more intelligence topics pertaining to Homeland Security, possess strong research skills, and be highly motivated to work independently on complex and challenging problems. In order to be eligible for consideration, you must hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance, and be eligible to obtain SCI access.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Working independently on complex problems involving all phases of intelligence and law enforcement analysis to provide strategic, operational, and tactical support to key decision makers
  


• Conducting open-source intelligence collection related to the manufacturing of IEDs by identifying, tracking, monitoring, collecting, and translating relevant source information
  


• Analyzing collected data and synthesizing objective and accurate reports in a timely manner
  


• Leading and participating in studies, assessments, administrative functions, program management, outreach, and acquisition support
  


• Maintaining and managing the knowledge-base and dissemination of information for their intelligence collection in a web-based repository.
  


• Providing direction for other personnel performing analysis, including editing, proofreading, and applying analytic standards
  


• Participate in outreach activities with stakeholders in the intelligence community to engage strategies on the local, state, national, and international levels
  

Job Requirements and Essential Skills:

• Knowledge of one or more intelligence topics pertaining to Homeland Security. Some examples include:

  • Fluency in languages used in the counterintelligence process, such as Somali, Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Urdo, Pashtu, Indonesian, Kurdish, Turkish, Uzbek, Tajik, French, Albanian, Hindi, Chechen, Chinese, Spanish, and Russian
    
  
  


• Ability to work on a team as well as independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines
  


• Excellent oral and written communications skills
  


• Familiarity with applying style manuals and standards
  

Education and Experience:

• Junior level requires 0-3 years of experience (a graduate or undergraduate degree may count towards years of experience)
  


• Intermediate level requires 4-10 years of experience (a graduate or undergraduate degree may count towards years of experience)
  


• B.A. or B.S., or higher, in a relevant field preferred

• U.S. citizenship required.
  


• Candidate must also hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance, and have SCI eligibility.
