Freelance Interpreter (Albanian) - LIS Solutions - New York, NY

LIS Solutions has been awarded a 5 year sole vendor contract to perform interpretation services for the Social Security Administration ODAR offices. We are looking for Albanian, interpreters that have performed work for a minimum of 2 years of paid experience servicing legal and medical clients. Job Description: What would you be doing?

• Agrees to comply with SSA’s disclosure/confidentiality. Agrees to provide an exact language interpretation of the responses from claimant, claimant representative, other SSA contract personnel and/or SSA personnel; i.e. not to assume or infer facts or dates not actually provided by these individuals.


• Demonstrates familiarity with basic terminology used in hearings. Has no personal stake either financially, organizationally or otherwise in the outcome that would be contrary to the interests of the claimant and/or benefit the claimant’s representative.


• The claimant in this case is the member of the public contacting SSA to do business or anyone serving as a representative for this claimant.

Minimum Requirements:

• Albanian, interpreters must have a minimum of 2 years of paid Interpretation experience, preferably within the Medical and Legal fields.


• Must be authorized to perform work in the United States.


• Able to obtain and maintain a Social Security Clearance.
