Lawyer


• Legal and Regulation

o Provide legal support to the Vodafone M-PESA’s Management and Departments on daily basis to ensure Vodafone M-PESA operates within the provisions of its Statute and applicable legislation on financial services by ensuring the provision of legal advice to business units by advising on new product development, drafting and reviewing terms and conditions of these products and related promotional campaigns, reviewing marketing materials for such products and campaigns, and advise on legal issues arising from dealings with customers and /or account operations. Ensure that products and services offered by Vodafone M-PESA comply with rules and regulations.


o Provide advisory support to the business in relation to consumer complaints. Recording, monitoring and reporting complaints within the company framework & the Central Bank regulatory requirements.


o Prepare commercial agreements entered into by Vodafone M-PESA with business partners, service providers and suppliers arising from the above (day-to-day activities etc.).


o Prepare the constituent documents of Vodafone M-PESA, getting approval and registration of the indicated documents with the Central Bank and government authorities as well as other negotiations in respect of the Vodafone M-PESA’s activity.


o Represent Vodafone M-PESA in administrative disputes with the authorities as well as in court for different legal matters. Draft lawsuits and provide legal advice, briefings, recommendations and reports to Management of Vodafone M-PESA (prepare briefs, complaints, motions and other court documents)


o Advise the human resources department on employment law and labour and benefit issues.


o Conduct legal research on specific legal issues, update on local laws and regulations, and develop and provide appropriate training programs to enhance legal awareness


o Ensure all required by-laws, resolutions and procedures are in-place and up-to-date.


o Review of submissions to the Bank of Albania ensuring that all legal documentation complies with, and contains appropriate obligations to comply with legal requirements.


o Asses the appropriateness of the Vodafone M-PESA’s compliance procedures and guidelines, and identified deficiencies by formulating proposals for amendments.


o Represent at internal meetings and on internal committees where required.


• Teamwork


o Work together with the other colleagues in the Legal, Regulatory and Strategy Department and colleagues from all other Departments of the Company, as well as colleagues from Vodafone Group or Other VF Group Operating Companies and external partners.


• Vodafone Group Law Practice Groups


o Active participation and contribution to the assigned Vodafone Group Law Practice Group


o Representation of Vodafone Mpesa in the respective Practice Group and Point of Contact for Vodafone Mpesa
