Ongoing Requirements
JTG is currently seeking Language Technologists for immediate openings
Language Technologists will develop, update, and maintain electronic lexicons and associated text files. S/He will collect and analyze foreign language corpora as well as assist in the development of machine translation language rules. The languages are: Albanian, Amharic, Baluchi, Bambara, Burmese, Czech, Kurmanji, Oromo, Polish, Shona, Sorani, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Twi, Ukrainian, and Yoruba
The requirements for successful applicants are:
Associate’s degree
Native or near native proficiency in the target language
3 years of experience working in the target language
2 years of experience working with Microsoft office products
Strong analytical skills
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to linguistics or language education
Experience creating language learning resources
