TELEPHONE LANGUAGE INTERPRETER – Experience required

Job description:
We require EXPERIENCED, OVER THE PHONE interpreters in all languages.
The Interpreter will be responsible for rendering faithfully and accurately, the meaning of conversations between Non-English speaking clients and English speaking service providers, over the phone, on the consecutive mode. The job could be on demand, or by appointment.
Experience as a telephone interpreter is a MUST.
Interpreting certifications, as well as knowledge in medical / legal terminology are preferred.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Be culturally sensitive and is professional and courteous.
- Uses appropriate terminology and follows the code of conducts
- Understands and uses proper terminology in the healthcare, government, insurance, financial, work place, law and general business fields.
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Follows instructions of clients, and avoids providing personal opinions or interaction with the limited English speaker person
- Avoids miscommunication or paraphrasing.
Over the phone conversations will be off-premises (means the interpreter will be at his/her home or office, ensuring a quiet environment and proper tools available, such as land line or cell phone, notepads, pens, dictionaries, etc).
Languages requested: ALL LANGUAGES welcome
Preferred languages: Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean, Polish, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Croatian, Serbian, Russian, Ukrainian, Thai, Czech, Slovak, Amharic, Tigrinya, Oromo, Burmese, German, Albanian, Creole
