Court Interpreter/Translator (Various Languages) - Torden - Massachusetts





Torden is seeking qualified language professionals to provide Translation, Interpretation, and other Linguist Services in support of the Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR). Support is on an as-needed basis and requires interpreters with flexible schedules. Interpreting services include simultaneous or consecutive court interpretation services in support of DoJ litigation or operations or escort interpretation to assist foreign officials.

Translators shall be proficient in translating all manner of materials and possess extensive subject knowledge, in keeping with the broad range of subject matter. Transcription services include transcribing recordings of interviews, phone calls, testimony, etc., which may be in audio or video recording format, into text.


Language requirements include, but are not limited to: Portuguese, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic,Armenian, Belarusian, Bengali, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Creole, Czech, Danish, Dari, Dutch, Estonian, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kinyarwandan, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Moldovan, Norwegian, Pashtu, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Somali, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdi, Vietnamese, Yiddish

Reviewer/Editor/Certifier
Essential Job Duties:


  • Source Material review and summarization

  • Provide quality control review of translated documents

  • Transcription of foreign language material

  • Provide on-the-spot gist and summaries of foreign documents into English

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a broad academic and/or experience background

  • Must have minimum of 5 years of specific language experience within last 10 years

  • Must possess superior skills in English and editing

  • Must be U.S. citizen

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Personnel are subject to the security clearance requirements

  • Current SECRET clearance is preferred

Translator
Essential Job Duties:


Provide full, technically and linguistically accurate rendition of source materials. Source materials may contain legal, business, public administrative, medical, scientific, historical, financial, geographical and military terminology and concepts, including those dealing with technology as used in the sciences (chemical, physical, cyber, etc.). The specialized terminology used to express concepts in any of the given subject areas vary considerably from everyday usage in any of the target or source languages in question.


Qualifications:


  • Must have minimum of 2 years of experience in all phases of language translations

  • Must have passing scores on language/translation tests of the FBI, other Government agencies, or qualified professional organizations

  • Must be U.S. citizen

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Personnel are subject to the security clearance requirements

  • Current SECRET clearance is preferred

Interpreter
Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide the verbal rendering of speech from the target language and English and vice-versa.

  • Interpreters shall be proficient in performing simultaneous, consecutive, and escort interpretation defined as follows:
    • Simultaneous interpretation requires the interpreter to speak almost contemporaneously with the speaker whose words are being interpreted, without any pauses since both interpreter and speaker are talking at virtually the same time.

    • Consecutive interpretation requires pauses on the part of both the interpreter and the speaker: the speaker will utter a sentence, phrase or thought, and then the interpreter will usually signal for the speaker to pause so that the interpreter can translate what was just said.

    • Escort interpreting requires an interpreter to accompany a non-English-speaking visitor as he/she conducts official business with the U.S. Government.


Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in language interpretation (i.e. consecutive, simultaneous)

  • Specialized training in the interpreting field and/or extensive experience in court or legal environments

  • Must possess passing scores on language/interpreting tests of the FBI, Department of State, other Government agencies, or qualified professional organizations

  • Ability to speak English and target language fluently, including high to low levels of language register, regional colloquialisms and slang with clear and intelligible pronunciation

  • Ability to preserve the tone and emotional level of the speaker, as well as manage the delivery, speed and length of the statement of the speaker

  • Must be U.S. citizen

  • Personnel are subject to the security clearance requirements

  • Current SECRET clearance is preferred

  • Federal, State, National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators, or Judiciary Interpreters and Translators Certification Examination certification in interpretation is preferred

  • Experience providing interpretation for Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review court cases is a plus

9-Dergon oferten tek klienti se bashku me nje pershkrim te detajuar te produktit. 


10-Njofton klientin se eshte derguar kosto dhe e rikujton ate ne rast se nuk ka feed back minimalisht 7 dite pasi ka derguar oferten.


11-Nese eshte e nevojshme negocion me administratorin per cmim me te ulet per klientin.


12-Pas marrjes se aprovimit nga klienti account manager njofton pergjegjsin e prodhimit per projektin e aprovuar, si dhe designer per procedimin me pregatitjen e file.
13-Ndjeke projektin ne cdo hap dhe mban te infromuar klientin, pas njoftimit nga koordinatori per perfundimin e punes njofton klientin dhe dergon foto te projektit te perfunduar, gjithashtu njofton financen per leshimin e fatures.

Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients. Gathers pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples. Records and updates prescriptions. Collects specimens for laboratory analysis such as Hgb, blood glucose urinalysis, Hg A1C.

  • Keeps exam areas clean and well stocked.

  • Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

  • Provides care as part of a patient-centered team approach to health management.

  • Must be a team worker able to move into another area of the clinic as need arise.

  • Schedule medical procedures and referrals

  • Draw blood for accu-checks and in house lab tests

  • Take patient medical histories

  • Update patient medical files

  • Take blood pressure and body temperatures

  • Medical assitants will work closely with LPN/RN to review each patient’s chart to validate appropriate follow-up by the patient in regards to the medication refill request. If they have not been seen in follow-up as recommended by the provider, then the patient will be contacted to schedule the appropriate follow-up appointment.

  • All nursing staff are to use the virtual Huddle method and if needed meet as a group no less than Once a week either by tasking about patients in the chart or in person at the beginning or end of a clinical session.

  • Also refer to Protocol for handling follow-up of patient care

  • And Medical Records Protocol – Handling of Telephone messages, patient questions and requests will be entered using a Task and forwarded to the appropriate person. All clinical tasks will be tasked using the TASK PRIORITY as urgent, non-urgent and request using the priority 1, 2, 3.

  • Add, Edit, Delete Care Team Members in Patient record.

  • Initial and complete the referral process

  • Has working knowledge if referral policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a current list of Specialty offices.

  • Communicates with patients and providers on the status of the referral.

  • Maintains a current referral tracking log for all patients.

  • Identify and utilize cultural and community resources. Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers.

  • Ensure the referrals are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Remind patients of scheduled appointments via mail or phone.

  • Ensure the patient’s primary care chart is up to date with information on specialist consults, hospitalizations, ER visits and community organization related to their health.

  • Answers all telephone calls with professionalism and courtesy in a timely manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

•Leasing and lobbying with key stakeholders and actors. Able to capitalize the programme impact on the areas of social inclusion and gender mainstream, good governance.


Additional Tasks:

•Develop a practice of involvement of the diaspora contribution through participation in the preparation of the General Local Plans possibly Medium Term Budget.

SCOPE OF WORK

The largest agency directorate and supporter of GEOINT Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) is the Analysis Directorate. This directorate assists in providing timely, relevant, accurate GEOINT analysis, data, and services to customers in support of the national security. The Analysis Directorate does so by producing products and technical support that serves the constantly growing national and international demand for imagery and geospatial applications—mapping, navigation, environmental monitoring, urban planning, resource management, homeland defense, national security, and emergency preparedness.


The second largest agency directorate and user of GEOINT FTEs is the Source Operations and Management Directorate. The Source Directorate provides the ability to register and adjudicate GEOINT users needs, develop strategies to acquire or produce all GEOINT sources, and manage/monitor the delivery of all GEOINT sources to those creating actionable intelligence. This mission is accomplished through identifying existing source material in agency holdings or accessible from our GEOINT partners worldwide, gathering existing geospatial data and imagery from our US and foreign production partners, and creating products and data giving the select agency the ability to “Know the Earth … Show the Way”. The Source Directorate is responsible for national satellite imagery, commercial and airborne imagery and GEOINT foundation data–including elevation, feature, and gravity data. Source data is any resource that contributes to the creation of GEOINT and encompasses imagery, mapping, and any data describing the Earth’s natural and manmade features, as well as activities that can be referenced.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Analyze and combine information associated with feature data listed in the Geographic Names Database (GNDB)

  • Conduct analysis of political geography while providing native knowledge and guidance to non-native linguists and other non-linguist personnel

  • Use native language skill to make corrections to original spellings from non-native and native map sources.

  • Prepare files and maps for work, accurately entering data to maintain and update the associated records.

  • Scan geo-reference, research, and order map sources and commercial imagery that will be used as reference sources as well as verify the proper spelling of names and other metadata.

  • Interpret and apply policies governing the treatment of names as well as general guidelines emanating from the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (U.S. BGN), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and other related organizations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Specialized experience in one or more of the following: Russian, Greek, Arabic, Farsi, Korean, French, Spanish, Thai, Albanian, Serbian, Hebrew, Arabic, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, and Bangladesh-Experience with English, Indonesian, Mandarin Chinese, Uzbek, Pashto, or Dari language

  • Achieve an Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 2 for Reading within the last Year

Apprentice

  • High School Diploma with 1-3 Years experience

  • Basic familiarity with computer operations

  • Knowledge of data retrieval/storage and generating reports

  • Knowledge of computer programs

  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing; must have a working knowledge of all Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)

  • Basic knowledge of geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS): geography, map skills, understanding of GIS application/geospatial analysis

  • Basic knowledge of research gathering: Internet search tools, library functions (query, ordering, etc)

sviluppare automatismi per l’ottimizzazione e la standardizzazione dei processi di lavorazione massiva

Ottima padronanza della lingua italiana parlata e scritta
