Operational Language Analyst - 1 with Security Clearance - FedSys, Inc - Fort Meade, MD

Description The Operational Language Analyst 1 will perform a range of cryptologic language processing tasks to include: scanning, sorting, and categorizing foreign language materials; recovering essential elements of information; gisting, translating and transcribing; compiling, and updating operational working aids and databases. The Operational Language Analyst 1 will be required to provide written translation of multi-media text while maintaining the meaning and intent of the original message. This position does not provide relocation accommodations. Duties and Responsibilities * Perform a range of cryptologic language processing tasks to include: scanning, sorting, categorizing foreign language materials; recovering essential elements of information; gisting, translating and transcribing; performing quality control of gists, translations and transcripts; mentoring language analysts; compiling and updating operational working aids and databases; and drafting intelligence reports. * Responsible for related language tasks including, oral interpretation (from target languages into English and vice versa); text translation (from target language into English and vice versa); audio translation (from target language into English; audio transcription in the required language; document exploitation that involves gisting/translation (from target language into English); mentoring language analysts; and teaching the required languages.

• Additional Cryptologic tasks will include target development; network analysis; speaker identification; language identification; and document exploitation that involves sorting/categorizing /language identification. * Prompt and regular attendance. * Other duties as assigned by senior FedSys management. Security Requirements The selected individual must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. The selected individual may/will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.

**Active TS/SCI with poly mandatory to be considered.** Clearance level requirement may be subject to change at the governmentâ??s discretion. In this event, you will be required to obtain and maintain the required clearance for the duration of your employment. Incumbent may be selected at a higher or lower clearance level as specified by any change made by the Government. Educational / Work Experience * High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent. * Equivalent of two (2)Â two years full-time experience performing cryptologic language processing in the required language. * Translating and/or transcribing, and gisting shall be the primary duty for the at least one (1) of the two (2) years of experience. * One (1)Â year of experience typing on an English keyboard.
