JV Girls Spring Tennis Coach - Koch Davis - Worcester, MA
Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the teaching of fundamentals, strategies, rules and proper conditioning in the assigned sport. Issue, collect, inventory and return equipment, uniforms and other materials (e.g., team roster, first aid kit, coach handbook) consistent with department guidelines. Responsible to adequate supervision of all students involved in the program and ensuring the safety of participants by inspecting facilities and equipment and being aware of environmental conditions. Instruct participant in safety procedures and in the need to report injuries to the coach or trainer immediately; implement appropriate procedures for handling injury situations; ensure the availability of a properly supplied first aid kit. Supervise of student athletes in locker rooms and on buses. Responsible for completing and submitting the following to the athletic director and the appropriate principal: accident reports, disciplinary action and parent complaints. Eligibility list with grades and attendance at the start of each season. Adhering to the policies and procedures of the coach handbook. Requirements The applicant should have extensive background in coaching, officiating and fundraising. Flexibility with work hours, duties, assignments. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs. Ability to speak Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Albanian, or Twi. Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.
