Associate Ultrasound Technologist - NYC Health + Hospitals - New York, NY
The Associate Ultrasound Technologist in the Cardiology department performs M-Mode, Dimensional Echocardiograms and Continuous & Pulsed-Wave Doppler Echo Cardiology. Color Coded Flow Mapping with Doppler Echo Cardiograph, Acoustic Quantificate and Acoustic Densitimetry, Digital Storage of Echocardiograms, Adult & Pediatric Contrast Echo Cardiograph, Exercise Stress and Pharmacological Stress Echo Cardiograph and prepares patients. Selects appropriate ultrasound technical and recording parameters. Manages day-to-day operations. Plans, develops and coordinates the schedule for patients on a priority/critical basis. Performs new staff orientation as well as provide In-service Training/Education for Cardiology Fellows, Medical Students and Technicians.
Bilingual Spanish/Albanian Preferred
Minimum Qualifications
1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Graduate of an AMA-approved Ultrasound program and is registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
3. Minimum of four years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
